As a result of increasing activity both within our R&D projects, as well as an increasing demand for process engineering competence, OiW has recently hired another employee in our location in Porgrunn. Here you can meet our new co-worker and read some of her thoughts regarding starting in OiW.
This winter we hired a new employee at our office in Porgrunn. Mirela Fazlagic started working with us from January 1st, and have brought with her high competence. Her competence and knowledge is on many fields complementary to what we already have, and she has already been able to do major contributions to our projects.
Below, you can read more about Mirela, and her thoughts regarding working with us.
What is your background?
I hold a university degree in Physics from the University of Sarajevo.
My working experience is related to meteorology. I spent several years working as an aviation meteorologist at the Sarajevo International Airport.
Some aspects of that job have raised my awareness and enhanced my interest in environmental issues.
In Norway, I have completed a master’s degree in Process Technology at the Telemark University College and this is my first job as a process engineer.
Why did you choose OiW?
OiW Process website has attracted my interest by providing information about company’s interesting projects, particularly projects on developing novel technologies that are able to solve some of important environment-related challenges and contribute to development of circular economy.
My first meeting with people from this company, a competent and enthusiastic team with great experience from different projects within process industry, has confirmed OiW Process as a very desirable place for starting and developing my career in process technology.
What do you think OiW will look like in 10 years?
Keeping focus on innovation and development of new technologies this company can grow to be a serious contributor in solving some of important environmental issues both in Norway and globally. I believe that OiW Process has the potential to succeed in that.
